We drove from Ohio to Maine last Fall to see Fall colors and hike. Here is our two week Northeast Fall Road Trip Itinerary: Day 1-Pennsylvania, Allegheny National Forest Day 2-Letchworth State Park, New York Day 3- Watkins Glen State Park and Buttermilk Falls State Park, New York Day 4- Lake Placid, New York. We hiked Mt Van Hoevenberg, East Trail. Day 5- Lake Placid, New York. We hiked Mt. Jo Day 6- Lake Champlain by ferry to reach Vermont. Mount Mansfield and Willoughby Lake. Day 7- New Hampshire. Kancamagus Highway, Echo Lake, and hiked Mount Willard. Day 8- Maine, Acadia National Park. We hiked the Ocean Path Trail. Day 9-Acadia National Park, South Bubble Mountain Trail and Beech Mountain Trail. Day 10-Acadia National Park- Cadillac Mountain. Day 11-Salem and Boston Massachusetts Day 12-Newport Rhode Island (Audrey’s Coffee House) and Essex, Connecticut. Day 13- New Jersey. We hiked Mount Tammany Day 14- Pennsylvania.
